Grid Runner provides a fun gameplay experience for a brief time, but doesn't stand out enough to really make it worthwhile in a world inundated in countless better games to squander your time on. In addition, it represents a significant failure to make use of the Playstation's capabilities (which isn't surprising, since it was developed for the Sega Saturn first). Nevertheless, the game manages to take a simple concepts and gradually add complexity to provide a significant challenge to the determined gamer.
